Jane's Bullet.  It's a collage, a newspaper, a design problem, and a good representation of my ethos that the personal is political. For awhile when I was in art school I was fixated on Burroughs' cut up writings, and spent hours cutting out words from magazines and glue sticking them back together to form new stories, and there is a tiny bit of that fixation in this project, but the writings are my own, shaken up in a tumbler and re-formed into the design scheme of a Tabloid Newspaper. 

I have joked that this is my "Divorce Zine" but the truth is this life event has served as a framework for abstraction and analysis of the self vs society. Themes of gender roles, love, sex, trauma, being watched vs being seen abound, but at the root of it Jane's Bullet is about self trust - a concept which never goes out of style, but is especially relevant in a time when human rights are being eroded daily. Self trust yes, but also, when we trust ourselves we get better at trusting others which is I think the only way we get through this collectively.
